From its conception, the composition of the ECPP has been six Directors and
other supporting members (currently Two Recording Secretaries, Treasurer, and
Two representatives of Fire Rescue, one each for Estero and for San Carlos).
The make-up of the six Directors is as follows:
- Two representatives of the the Estero Council of
Community Leaders (ECCL), formerly the Estero Concerned Citizens
Organization (ECCO).
- One representative of the Estero Civic Association
(ECA).
- One representative of the Estero Chamber of Commerce.
- Two at large representatives of the Development Community.
The allocation of the six Directors is designed to provide three slots
representing the Citizens and three slots representing Business and the
Development Community. This is an important and valuable mix which has
worked very well for the ECPP itself and for the Estero Community. There
is no defined term of service for any of the representatives, although the
ECPP has experienced turnover over the years. The representatives of the
ECCL, the ECA and the Chamber are chosen by their respective organizations.
The representatives of the Development Community are confirmed by the ECPP
after a search yields interested candidate(s). |
