Pinewoods Water Treatment Plant (Lee County Utilities)Fee: Waived Presentation by: I DO NOT HAVE THE NAMES OF THE PRESENTERS Comments/Suggestions: Request taller ficus (upon planting) presenters are planning upon installing Consider ficus nitida as a more cold-hearty selection vs. ficus benjamina Question was raised by committee as to whether any landscape buffering is required under county regulations; the proposed plantings were voluntary Request large trees in front of property (they chopped down the old big trees) CAR WASHFee: Paid Presentation by: Gene Allison, Wayne Rex Comments/Suggestions: 1 Request reduction in scale of roof (break up large areas) 2 Color scheme met with approval of committee 3 Owner suggests faux windows in gable; this was met with approval by the committee 4 Committee states to presenters that they will ultimately have to conform with design standards of Plaza del Sol plaza Recommend larger trees than code requirement (recommend 45-gallon, 12-14’ minimum height) Committee states that county-code green-space requirements are not being met by current landscape plant Presenters agree to return next month after they meet with Plaza del Sol people Old Business Scott Wickett has resigned as secretary of the Estero Design Review Committee.
